Our Visit
Jason, the kids, and I ventured over to a well-loved home-made ice cream shop in our home town, Rich Farm Ice Cream. Even though we have lived in Placentia for almost three years now, we had never taken the time to experience some of the delectable ice cream flavors they have to offer. After our visit, I could see all of us going back there again!
Here are some reasons why we liked it:
- A variety of unique creamy ice cream flavors and seasonal flavors.
- Customers are served quickly and efficiently through the line.
- There are several indoor tables and chairs for sitting.
- The shop is clean, decorated, and friendly.
- Serving sizes feel like a large for a size small.
Details We Discovered
- Several award plaques are hung for their quality service over the years.
- There’s an optional tip jar at the cash register.
- There was a steady stream of customers of all ages.
- No loud music or television, so it’s easy for conversation.
- Inside temperature was pleasant on a warm day in the upper 80’s.
- Their cow mascot has colored pictures on the walls, by the community.
- They have dairy, non-dairy, dole whip, and premade ice cream to go.

Final Thoughts
We all enjoyed the taste and creaminess of Rich Farm Ice Cream. The Banana Split was great to share with three people. Jason had the Dole Whip twist with watermelon and mango flavors that was light and refreshing. We were all very satisfied with our experience and highly recommend others to give it a try!
